Shifting Our Strategic Focus on KentuckyLake.com

For nearly 30 years, KentuckyLake.com has been helping people discover and enjoy Kentucky Lake.

Since the site first launched in 1996, the internet has changed more times than we can count. We’ve gone from dial-up connections and desktop computers to smartphones, social media, and a world where information is available almost instantly.

Through all those changes, one thing has remained the same: our love for Kentucky Lake, Lake Barkley, and Land Between the Lakes.

As KentuckyLake.com approaches its 30th anniversary, we’re preparing the biggest update in the site’s history.

In September 2026, we’ll launch a completely reimagined KentuckyLake.com designed to introduce our lakes to a new generation of visitors. The new site will focus on helping first-time visitors discover what makes this region special, from world-class fishing and boating to family vacations, outdoor adventures, waterfront dining, and unforgettable sunsets.

Our goal is simple: help more people fall in love with Kentucky Lake.

Many of you already know that KentuckyLake.com has a sister site, ExploreKentuckyLake.com. Since launching in 2001, Explore Kentucky Lake has grown into an extensive resource for people who already know and love the lakes.

That won’t change.

In fact, as KentuckyLake.com shifts toward inspiring new visitors, ExploreKentuckyLake.com will continue serving longtime lake lovers with the detailed information they’ve come to rely on, including fishing reports, lake conditions, weather information, local news, events, and much more.

Together, the two sites will work hand in hand.

KentuckyLake.com will focus on introducing people to the region and helping them plan their first trip.

ExploreKentuckyLake.com will continue helping visitors, anglers, boaters, campers, and local residents stay connected to everything happening around the lakes.

We’re incredibly excited about the future and grateful to everyone who has supported our websites over the years.

We can’t wait to share the new KentuckyLake.com with you this September as we celebrate 30 years online, followed by a refreshed ExploreKentuckyLake.com in January 2027.

Thank you for being part of the journey.
